Foundation and Village

Description

The East Grand Forks Heritage Foundation consists of 21 buildings, serving as an instrument for preservation and education. Included within their exhibits, they display an old steam boiler from a Fram ship from the late 1800s and early 1900s, an old bonanza Saw Mill, a home gardening station, a Military Room, a Town Hall that holds historic old photos and past newspapers, a working printing press and other pioneer domestic and agricultural artifacts. Every August, the East Grand Forks Heritage Foundation hosts Heritage Days, which includes displays such as steam engine threshing machines, antique tractors, and other farm implements of historical interest. Heritage Days are celebrated within the Heritage Village during the third weekend in August.
