Description

The Pequot Lakes Historical Society’s primary focus is to preserve the life within the Pequot Lake area. Within the society, they hold the Pequot Lakes Area Historical Society Museum, which is located in the restored Cole Memorial Building. The areas of coverage that the Museum exhibits are lifestyle memorabilia from the early 1930s to 1940s. They also contain different site buildings including an old schoolhouse, a general store, and an old theater. A military section that contains past artifacts from both the First and Second World Wars is also exhibited. Among other information within their collection, the Pequot Lakes Area Historical Society Museum also has collections of family scrapbooks and photos from the early 1900s.
