Description

The Mahnomen County Historical Society holds the B.C. Ness Mahnomen County Historical Museum, which is home to collecting the history of the Mahnomen County. Within their site, they have a country school, an old kitchen, and agricultural artifacts, dating back to the late 1800s and early 1900s. In addition, the society maintains the Schermerborn Farms, the Mahnomen County bonanza farms dating from the early 1900s. There, they display the pioneer’s farm life in the past. Another interesting exhibit that the museum holds is their Moonshine exhibit. This will illustrate with histories, artifacts, and photos of the Mahnoment County during the years of the Prohibition.
