Description

The Evansville Historical Foundation contains both an array of buildings housing historical artifacts and availability to perform genealogy research. Some of the buildings include past homes, a sod house, a church, a chapel and town hall. They exhibit wedding gowns from various eras, old school books, memorabilia from past Evansville organizations and businesses, an old-fashioned buggy, a loom and past military garments and souvenirs. In regards to their genealogy research, the Evansville Historical Foundation has free access to online genealogy websites, census records, plat books and family histories starting from the late 1800s.
