Title A name given to the resource Verndale Museum Subject The topic of the resource Museum Description An account of the resource Verndale was founded in 1878, and the museum, hosted by the Verndale Historical Society, “shows just how much history and intrigue can be found in the small towns of northern Minnesota.” The photo collection contains pictures of local families over the years, war heroes, and Minnesota’s volunteer infantry unit in the Civil War. From exhibits on Verndale’s most famous citizen, General Lesley S. McNair, a four-star general, the town’s historic grist mill, and photos from Verndale’s annual 4th of July celebration, there is a wide variety of history to see.
