As well, the museum maintains research materials, including cemetery records, obituary records, and an online collection of more than 7,000 photographs from the late 19th century to early 20th century. They also include the Thief River Falls Times newspapers from 1920 to 1966 within their past information. The pioneer village is used for the special Goodridge Bicentennial, as well as local weddings and events. </text>

<text>The Polk County Historical Society has been collecting and preserving the inspiring story of the people of Polk County for 75 years. Books, maps pamphlets, newspapers, pictures and other objects have been collected. The museum.s authentic exhibits show how Valley pioneers lived, the tools and implements they worked with, the clothes they wore, the utensils and furnishings they used in their homes and countless other articles related to other aspects of their lives. The museum was located at the old McKinley School for several years and in 1976 was moved to its present location, the former Glendenning building on the east side of Crookston.

The main museum, a large modern structure, contains a well furnished kitchen, living room and bedroom, a general store, doctor’s office, barber shop. Beauty shop, communications center (telephone and switchboard center), a 50 year old model electric train and musical instruments. Here too, stands a square piano made in Boston, and an amazing assortment of ladies hats. Antique tools, and many old records, including newspapers on microfilms, dating back to the mid 1800’s, cemetery locations and names of persons buried there. There is also a chapel and a composite of furnishings from several churches.

Outside buildings include a large collection of farm machinery of all kinds including about 20 different antique tractors in running condition, a Fairchild single seater airplane used for crop dusting, a collection of many fire fighting trucks and other items, an 1870 log house, two room log house built in 1881, a one room school house (all completely furnished), a blacksmith shop and a church dating back to the late 1800’s (also completely furnished).

They include, within their museum, old photos and artifacts on the county’s past development such as information on agriculture, manufacturing and trade. As well, they also have artifacts and histories on the Native American settlements and a Military Service file that holds photographs and biographies on past military personnel. Alongside their exhibits, the Roseau County Historical Society also includes an extensive amount of research material for genealogy information. This feature does cost five dollars for one-on-one help; however, they still include cemetery, obituary, and death indexes, starting from the late 1800s, within and the surrounding counties of Roseau. Other information they include are school and county tax records, marriage and naturalization indexes from 1904 to 1915, files on past businesses and churches, past high school yearbooks and past Roseau county newspapers from the late 1880s to present. </text>

<text>The Stevens County Historical Society & Museum holds numerous amounts of artifacts and information that displays what life on the prairie was like during the late 19th century. Not only does it include the historic exhibits on homemaking and agriculture of that time, but it also includes information on past cemetery records, censuses, photographs, manuscripts and indexes on Steven county from the late 1800s up until the early 1940s, allowing a vast amount of help on genealogy work. Other resources include high school indexes and yearbooks, military records and plat map indexes on the county. The Museum also includes past newspapers and magazines such as the Great Northwest Magazine. </text>
