Description

The Pennington County Historical Society includes a pioneer village, which has a collection of 19 historical buildings, showing what life was like in Pennington County a hundred years ago. Many people enjoy viewing the past recreational and sporting goods, including tractors and snowmobiles that the society has on hand. As well, the museum maintains research materials, including cemetery records, obituary records, and an online collection of more than 7,000 photographs from the late 19th century to early 20th century. They also include the Thief River Falls Times newspapers from 1920 to 1966 within their past information. The pioneer village is used for the special Goodridge Bicentennial, as well as local weddings and events.
